A Musandam trip 2 days gives you everything a single day cannot. The first day is spent on the water on a full day dhow cruise through the Khasab fjords, watching dolphins, and snorkeling at Telegraph Island and Seebi Island. The second day takes you into the Hajar Mountains on a mountain safari to Jebel Al Harim and Khor Najd. Two days, two completely different sides of Musandam, one of the most dramatic destinations in the Arabian Peninsula.
The package is available in two versions for the overnight stay. Option 1 is an overnight stay on the dhow, anchored in a secluded Musandam cove. Option 2 is beach camping in Musandam on a remote beach. Both options are followed by the mountain safari on day 2.

On the Musandam trip 2 days, after the full day cruise you choose how to spend the night before the mountain safari on day 2.
After the day cruise the dhow anchors in a sheltered cove in the Musandam fjords. You sleep on deck or in a cabin depending on the vessel. This is the most popular choice for couples and small groups and is similar to our luxury overnight cruise experience. Omani BBQ dinner and breakfast included. The gentle movement of the boat and the silence of the fjords at night is something most guests say they were not prepared for. There is a music system on board and you can connect your phone by USB or Bluetooth
The dhow drops you at a secluded Musandam beach for the night. Tents, sleeping gear, and all equipment are set up by the crew. This is the same experience as our standalone Musandam beach camping package, combined with the mountain safari on day 2. Omani BBQ dinner is cooked on the beach and breakfast is ready before the safari begins. This option suits larger groups and anyone who wants to sleep under the stars.

The following activities can be added to the 2 day package subject to availability. Mention when booking and we will arrange them for day 1 of the cruise.
October through April is the most comfortable time for a 2 day trip to Musandam. Daytime temperatures range from 20 to 30 degrees Celsius and evenings are cool enough to enjoy the deck after dinner. The mountain safari on day 2 is particularly pleasant during this period as Jebel Al Harim can be significantly cooler than Khasab at altitude. The 2 day package runs year-round. Summer trips are available and the fjords are noticeably quieter between May and September.
The waters around the Musandam fjords are protected and largely undisturbed. Humpback and bottlenose dolphins are seen on almost every cruise and are particularly active in the morning and at dusk. The coral reefs around Telegraph Island and Seebi Island host a wide variety of tropical fish species and the water visibility is exceptional throughout most of the year. Whale sharks, sea turtles, and eagle rays are occasionally spotted in the deeper channels.
The mountain safari on day 2 reveals a completely different side of Musandam. The fossil sites near Jebel Al Harim contain ancient marine fossils from millions of years ago when these mountains were below the sea, one of the more surprising highlights of the 2 day trip for most guests.

Yes. We arrange pickup from Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah. The drive to Khasab takes approximately 3 hours via Ras Al Khaimah. We handle the Oman border crossing at Tibat and all visa documentation. For a single day option, see our Khasab tour from Dubai page. A UAE exit fee of AED 35 applies per person.
Most nationalities receive an Oman visa on arrival at the Tibat border crossing for 5 OMR. UAE residents need a valid passport with at least 3 months validity from the travel date. Single entry UAE visa holders are not eligible as exiting the UAE cancels the visa. Contact us before booking and we will confirm the exact requirements based on your nationality.
Yes. The 2 day trip is family friendly. Children enjoy the dolphin watching, snorkeling, and the experience of sleeping on a boat or at a beach campsite. The mountain safari on day 2 is done in comfortable 4WD vehicles. Life jackets are provided for all ages on the dhow.
October through April offers the most comfortable conditions. Overnight temperatures during this period are between 18 and 25 degrees Celsius. The package runs year-round and summer trips are available with quieter conditions on the water.
Yes. Kayaking, fishing by speed boat, banana boat rides, and a Kumzar village trip can all be added subject to availability. Mention when booking and we will arrange them for day 1 of the cruise.
Comfortable closed shoes are essential as some viewpoints involve short walks on rocky ground. Layers are recommended as Jebel Al Harim sits at over 2,000 metres elevation and can be significantly cooler than Khasab. Sunglasses and a hat are advisable for the exposed viewpoints.
A single day tour gives you the dhow cruise only. The 2 day trip adds an overnight experience in the fjords and the mountain safari on day 2.
